Review:
Eels mastermind Mark Everett split with his wife in 2005, but
he's just gotten around to releasing his divorce album. He's a
horribly strung-out love junkie on End Times, pining for
his ex, talking to the bird on his porch and thinking the crazy
homeless prophet on the corner is starting to make sense. Everett
keeps these ballads and rockers short, spare and pretty; his sad
reportage is straightforward to the point of being guileless. "I
need a mother/It's really nothing new," he sings; familiar...
